SWFC LED Urban Sculpture Project

上海環球金融中心の外壁LEDシステムを用いて実施された都市スケールの光のアートプロジェクト。鳥本健太がキュレーターを務め、Ding Yi、Greenhouse Core、Nam HyoJunの3組のアーティストが超高層建築そのものを「光の都市彫刻」として再構成した。

夜の上海を舞台に、ビル外装に展開されるLED光が時間とともに変化し、建築は固定された構造物から動的なメディアへと転換される。都市を行き交う人々は鑑賞者であると同時に作品の一部となり、金融都市の象徴的ランドマークが公共的な表現装置として機能した。

巨大建築・都市景観・市民参加を接続し、都市そのものを表現媒体として扱うキュラトリアル実践。

An urban-scale light art project realized using the exterior LED system of the Shanghai World Financial Center. Curated by Kenta Torimoto, three artists — Ding Yi, Greenhouse Core, and Nam HyoJun — reconceived the skyscraper itself as a "luminous urban sculpture."

Set against the Shanghai night, LED light unfolding across the building's facade shifted over time, transforming architecture from a fixed structure into a dynamic medium. People moving through the city became both audience and part of the work, as a symbolic landmark of the financial district functioned as a public device for expression.

A curatorial practice connecting monumental architecture, urban landscape, and civic participation — treating the city itself as a medium of expression.
