長沢郁美 Ikumi Nagasawa

I express a vague sense of emptiness or loneliness coming from my simple daily life, via colorful-cute-pop paintings. My intention is not to focus on the melancholic aspect of it. We need to feel this melancholy to be ready to look at the bright side and start searching for something new. I would like to express those“hope” behind the scene.

2004 Graduated from Joshibi University of art and design, Major in Painting. (Excellent prize by Graduation painting)
2006 Graduated from Joshibi University graduate school of art and design, Major in Painting.
